Grand Rapids Crime Map is a free public tool that helps residents track and understand crime activity across the city. Our goal is to give people the information they need to stay safe and informed about what's happening in their neighborhoods.
All crime incident data is sourced from the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD)through their public ArcGIS data portal. Incidents are mapped at the block level (not exact addresses) and are classified using the FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS).
Data is updated periodically. There is typically a 2-4 week lag between when an incident occurs and when it appears in the GRPD dataset.
This site is not affiliated with the Grand Rapids Police Department or the City of Grand Rapids. Data is provided as-is from public sources. Locations are approximate (block level). The presence of an incident on this map does not imply guilt or criminal conviction. Always call 911 for emergencies.
